We know each Dev has Agni.. own Agni and what ever kind touch you have with that Dev by your body, you are getting fire burns on same part...
Agni or fire gas rule that whatever comes to it ... All burn but with specific sign... And thus the inner fluids will come out as liquid and that is SOMRAS...
Little hard to believe but it's 100% right...
Ved has Mitra Varun and so many short incidentally storyline... with Mitra Varun... Means water... Ved has more than 65 names of water on different times location in reading material of Vedas...
The beautiful covered M ( in Egypt old language, the zigzags line showing water sign several times, and the sign of English M is part of it's as pronounced as EM) in R type (Sajiv inside) of beautiful BODY part ...
Little hard but true as if you read the several Vedas shlok and understand it by practical way..
Som means moon but here consider as CHANDRA / chandra
"Chan" means the jointly attached Sajiv with other or any one Sajiv with such topically way of his or her body parts ....
DRA Means the smaller version of Human or Sajiv... Which is in position of having R factor...
We know that in sanskrut has 7 types of R factor..
Somnath means the person has full command on Chandra and it's prakruti... Whatever it has..
Drinking SOMRAS is process of dying... HOW???
We can't drink blood or inner fluids by practical human mouth... And the people of Hollywood made so many horror films with imagination of such Rushi which are giving us odd feeling by watching those clips...
We are knowing that if simple air is if getting cold and hot process in fixed criteria than its convert in to water... Simple example of that is full cold water glass... Getting water spots outer side...
Water size, quantum volume is getting increase or higher till -4 to +4 degree centigrade temperature...
Same rules attached with body too.. my wife told me that if your the frog in boiling water the frog inner body few times getting resistance from same by his inner fluids... Same with different ways attached with human BODY... As the drinking SOMRAS is process of dying..
The other word is SOMYAAG
Maintain or making fixed quantum of som in quantities is considering as YAAG... It's like Simple way understand of Bank... As you reserved or stored your more or access money in Bank for further future utilities.. as same as by the YAAG is making for storing SOM... It's several and different types of YAAG available in Veda...
YAAG means for yagna, HOTA and yajmaanit based person having yajan of fixed things, with subject by giving such fixed food to fire...
When you put anything in fire we can get the noise of tad tad or if the grain seeds are than chham chham...
It's significantly sign of it's innermost inner fluids availability...

Yaasnaa / Yasna, Yagna, Yaag
By Yaag reserved or stored SOMRAS used by daivagna and for welcoming the Dev who related to your subject helping you will be don6by The prayer named YAaSNAa / Yasna...
Now we can consider the things are as here mentioned...
By Yasna the daivagna coming to your yagna and if so many people doing same prayer than the after cumulative used of the yagna part additional Will be considered as the store and for maintaining those as reserved we can do YAAG... Means YAAG is used For either stores or increase the needed sat tatva for required yagna ...
Little odd but true...
So many people doing regular Surya Atharva shirsh, the energy of words are if not at a time than it is considering by name as Surya YAAG..
This is an example only but in physics the thermodynamic has units duly named ENTROPY... Whichever always should be constant or increase... That is never decrease on world...
